MRWC LogoWant to know what all those brightly colored tubes and floatson in the river are for?  Barry Culp, geologist specializing in aquatic pollution solutions TRC Engineering Corporations, will be providing the keynote presentation at the Mill River Wetland Committee Annual Meeting THIS Tuesday, 3/31  7-8pm in the Memorial Room, Fairfield Main Library, 1080 Post Road.

As Senior Project Manager for the long-awaited Mill River cleansing, Barry will give us close-up views of the intricate processes used by the river dredge operator to dig out and send on their way the nefarious hot spots of lead that have been polluting our noble living stream for 60 years!

The presentation will provide an intimate look into the dredging system that is removing lead from the Mill River, with images that show the cutterhead dredge in use as it removes and sends the lead-laden river-bottom sediments to the treatment facility.

The event is free and is open to the public.
